Discerning God's will

In the May/June issue of The Advocate, a number of men and women shared their experiences of “call.” This month’s follow-up article looks at the process of discernment, or how, having heard a call, a person discerns what it might mean to their life. more.

Reading Camp is a Mountain of Fun!

In a world where movies, video games, and television reign as the main forms of entertainment, it’s hard to get kids excited about reading. It comes as no surprise that when kids fall behind in their reading ability, they fall behind in school and lose confidence in themselves. Through the cooperation and hard work put forth by volunteers in the Diocese of Lexington, many third and fourth grade children have learned how fun reading can be. more.

Dean Mombo, member of Eames Commission, speaks in Diocese of Lexington

Doctor Esther Mombo, Academic Dean of St. Paul’s United Theological College in Limuru, Kenya, a member of the Lambeth Commission, spoke to the clergy of the Diocese of Lexington, and preached at Good Shepherd, Lexington, and St. Peter’s, Paris, in June. She served as a consultant to the 1998 Lambeth Conference. more.
