The Executive Council of the Diocese of Lexington has endorsed the concept of All Saints Village mission, and anticipates a detailed agreement to be presented at a later time for approval. Members of the Council toured All Saints during their October meeting, and heard presentations from the Rev. Canon Johnnie Ross, Solly VanMeter, Chair of the Committee on the Trent Blvd. property, and Bishop Sauls before the Rev. Ron Summers moved, and John Stempel seconded continuation of conversations in the direction of mission at All Saints. more.

Mission Mississippi: Diocesan Team Works at 10 Locations in Pascagoula

"What struck us was the immensity of the damage... and how much it meant to people that we came." Nine men and women form the Diocese of Lexington traveled to Pascagoula, Miss., to work and help clean up the area.

Hope for Haiti Run/Walk: Saturday, December 3, 2005

It only takes one trip to Haiti to realize that this nation is in need of a helping hand. Poverty, illiteracy, the lack of adequate medical care, housing, food, clean water...the list goes on.
The Episcopal Diocese of Lexington and the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti are Companion Dioceses – a mutually established relationship of prayer, encouragement and for the exchange of spiritual and material resources. Since the adoption of this relationship in 2003, Haitians have seen the terrible consequences of a fallen government and the violent effects of anarchy. Without a viable government or social infrastructure in place to distribute services, the Haitian people are frequently bereft of food, clean water, medical supplies and the means to control violence.
The proceeds from last year’s race went toward the purchase of a Food Delivery Truck operated through the Food For the Poor to deliver food to rural areas in Haiti. This year’s proceeds will go toward continued assistance to these neighbors in need. Joining us as a runner, walker, watcher and/or financial contributor in the HOPE for HAITI 5K Run/Walk at Keeneland Racecourse at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, is a great way to demonstrate awareness and solidarity with those in need and ultimately to provide humanitarian aid to Haiti.
For further information and for race registration form contact Race Coordinator Ms. Ximena McCollum at 859-219-4544 or the Rev. Dr. Jan Dunnavant, 859-885-6391. The race is presented by the Companion Diocese Relationship Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington.
