Camps operated throughout the state of Kentucky, serving almost 200 children. Every camper had a high-quality learning experience, whether his or her camp was at the Domain, Pine Mountain Settlement School, or a local parish. The fun and confidence building activities ranged from reading to dogs at an animal shelter in Frankfort to rappelling at the Domain. One guardian told us, “I really think that the camp is really good for the kids. They seem to enjoy it very much. I want to thank you for helping my grandchild to improve with her reading. All the teachers have done a wonderful job with all the kids.” A camper explained, “You should come to Reading Camp because it makes you feel welcome.” Every child who attends Reading Camp is a valued individual. Through partnerships with parishes, schools, local agencies, and generous individuals, we can maintain that place of welcome year after year.
