On our day off, we went to Antigua. There we hiked a mountain, visited a jade factory and chocolate factory, shopped at the market place (the girls got very good at haggling, especially Eleanor), and visited churches. It was a fun day full of laughter.
This mission trip has been a great experience. We got everything done that was asked at the beginning. We worked every day from 8 AM to 2:30PM on construction and then spent three hours at the orphanage found activities with the children.
The young women who went on this trip were hard working and never complained. The missionary said they set a standard for the groups coming after that was very high. They worked harder and accomplished more than a group double the size. It was an honor to be a part of their group. The parishes they come from and their parents can be very proud of them every child at the orphanage and preschool had hours of smiles because of them and a new home is closer to being completed
We would like to thank all who supported us and made this trip possible, especially our parishes, the diocese, and our bishop this trip changed lives, including our own
